Text-to-voice, humdrum

So the consensus is to ‘keep my own voice’.

To be honest, I’m rather disappointed that all of them sound a bit clunky.  I don’t use Siri or Alexa or any other AI voice but to hear them answering someone is really impressive, with tones and cadences and intonations reflecting the appropriate expressions.  All the voices in the example a few days ago sounded rather flat, all rather mechanical. So be it.

This blog wasn’t intended to be a record of humdrum daily life in the DP world, but today let’s test the voice with just that. Here’s the latest:

How about that?  Difficult?

  3. Lovely to hear your voice David. Can perhaps understand why you appear not to be quite so happy, maybe it is a reminder to you of the problems you have already faced. It’s perfectly acceptable to those who know you hence our choice, but most importantly you must be happy too.

  4. It’s good to hear from you, Dave, and life doesn’t sound that humdrum, rather eventful with all the practical issues… Hoping the jab went smoothly and you’ve made it home.
