Well I tested negative for the virus, so that was good. Just spent four days in very comfortable solitary confinement at home, watching the French Open, reading, tidying, packing last night, and not shaving until this morning – a rare pleasure.
They’re sending a car to get me to the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery by 10.00 this morning, and for some reason I have to be ready by 07.30, which I am.
This time I presume I’ll be in a public ward. That should have happened last time but when I arrived they walked me through to a private ward with my own room and bathroom. Would be great to have that again but I sense I’ll be with others. That’s OK.
Preparation later today, including the tube through the nose and down to the stomach, then the operation early tomorrow. I’ll let you know ….
Thinking of you David. Hope all goes well this time and that life will be more pleasant when you get home to yet another new “normal”. With much love. Valerie xx
All the best David.
